Dear Tiny Township Property Owners and Residents,
The last four years have been full of interesting events in our Township.
On the environment front, we have succeeded in stopping Site 41, and initiated an EA ( Environmental Assessment ) in order to address the septage disposal issues and stop the field spreading.
On a general policy front, we have undertaken a Strategic Plan which is under implementation.
.We have also worked hard to bring to fruition a Memorandum of understanding ( MOU ) with our Park and Recreation Associations, as well developing a Volunteers policy framework.
Regarding Heritage, we have brought back the Festival du Loup to this Township and supported other local initiatives which are promoting community improvements.
Regarding shoreline. Council continued to identify, preserve and signage our shoreline properties, as well as protect our – your – rights.
I should not forget to mention our constant efforts to improve communications ( website, community page ).
All these have been undertaken while keeping in line with Fiscal Responsibly.
But let's not be standing inactive. Many challenges are facing us, mainly due to the modifications or introduction of new provincial bills such as the Environment Act, the Clean Water act and Source Water Protection Act. the Renewable Energy act which will have a long term impact on the way Municipal business will be run. All departments of our Municipality will be affected, and I think that an organization review should be undertaken to assess the possibility to improve our processes in order to better be ready for facing the future.
I can tell you that if reelected I will monitor and act on your behalf to protect the best interests of our Township on all these important issues.
During my mandate, I have been a team player, worked hard to keep informed on all issues, meeting with and listening to the concern of our residents. I have enjoyed working for our community and ask you to continue supporting me.
Thank you.
André Claire -Councillor.
